| Post subject: | dawn of war 2!!! |
Dawn of War 2 is released. I am rather excited about this. However, I am mildly disheartened by it's lack of the races "Tau" and "Necrons". This is counteracted by the fact that it has the race known as "Tyrannids" and new gameplay mechanics. Is anyone here currently going to buy it? |

From what I understand it is less of a traditional RTS in that you only have a few squads and complete missions with a minimal of base building etc. |

I was in the beta for a few months and I say that it kicked ass. Even though they tossed base building out the window, it's still fun as hell. Nothing more satisfying than watching your Heavy Bolter Marine squads tear up Eldar troopers. |

i dont like it. it lost the feeling of epic battles like in dow I I'd rather play 1st than 2nd |

I agree, the battles aren't very, EPIC, but they're still pretty cool. |

I love that the game is now a RTT, not and RTS. That aside, I want mah SupCom scale wh40k game >:c |

no base, guess what? Its warhammer 40K, the way its meant to be played : See> The table-top game... that came first... by like... a decade. Odds are there will be expansions for it that add the rest of the races... Makes me wonder though... will they keep adding expansions to DoW 1 to add 'nids and such? |

No. The game mechanics wouldnt support a truly Tyranid army, one that acted as it did in the lore. But lets keep our fingers crossed for a mod thatll give this game epic battles, eh? |

From what I understand it is less of a traditional RTS in that you only have a few squads and complete missions with a minimal of base building etc. wow... now i see just how much i suck when i write english(not a naitive speeker/writer) anyway... i do find it nice but hey guess what... the first dawn of war was epic... the second is like dungeon siege but with bolters... it is just not as big as the first one... however i am going to get it... and why did the got rid of the tau??? i love the tau.... |

I can't wait until IG becomes playable via some sort of expansion pack/mod later on. Have you guys seen the IG Stormtroopers in the campaign? Jesus! They're awesome! |
