Xfire - Gaming Simplified
So we've had a couple of these threads in the past that never really worked I don't think. But Xfire is an instant messenger that hooks itself into supported games, allowing you to take videos, live feeds, screenshots, and most importantly talk to your friends, seamlessly for the most part. New feature - Ingame web browsing! That's right, you can now post on DRL from inside your games while they play those long cutscenes that you can never seem to skip. That's what I'm doing with this post. Neat, eh? DEFAULT KEYBINDS WHILE INGAME Scroll lock + X = Messages Scroll lock + S = Screencap Scroll lock + B = Live feed (Has to be enabled in Options) Scroll lock + V = Video (Same) Scroll lock + W = Web browsing www.xfire.comPost your usernames.

Re: Xfire - Gaming Simplified
I use xfire all the time. Heck, I applied to the group. I'm still wondering why no one accepted yet.

Re: Xfire - Gaming Simplified
Bump for great justice. Xfire supports a much wider variety of games than Steam does.

Not true. Steam just doesn't autodetect them.

QFT. you have to manually insert the game into your Steam games list which is annoying. and you can download games via steam not xfire. i would use xfire but the peoples i play computer games with dont use xfire. and the people i do play computer games with use steam. Re: Xfire - Gaming Simplified
For those of us that use Pidgin or Adium--
--there is an addon that allows you to use the Xfire network without their client. Seems kind of counter-intuitive, but its nice to be able to talk to people even outside of a video game.
