Post subject:  Viruses NEED HELP PLEASE ='(
Well i have problems with virus *Win32/Sality.NAJ*. It infected every .exe file on my pc . I cant start most things . Today i've formated my C disk and re-installed XP . But it didnt stoped . When i start scan i must delete every .exe on my pc :cry: . Even when i scanned and deleted everything what was infected the virus had re-birth . I cant stop it . Please i need help . I have really small amount of time . Please :cry: help !

Can't do anything from where I am standing, but I'd advise you to get a better scanner, since your current one doesn't seem to take on the source.
If you have more than one harddrive, scan them all ofcourse.

Yeah, I know, not much help, if any help at all. :???: But at least I tried. ;-)

Don't just reinstall Windows.

Backup your data (Photos, music, product keys, saved games, etc)
Format the drive
Reinstall Windows as a separate partition from your data and programs. Makes it easier to format just windows instead of having to deal with backing up your photos and such as they will be on a separate partition.

Install AdAware, Spybot S&D, and CCleaner (Update them immediately to be sure, immunize Spybot ASAI)
Use Firefox with the NoScript Addon

Before you replace your data, scan it just to be certain.
Keep your anti-viruses up to date, viruses these days like to interrupt updates of AV programs. Be one step ahead!


And lastly, think about learning Linux. Check out Ubuntu or SuSe to get started.
Linux is far more secure of an OS. If someone want's to destroy your Linux system it's usually an act of actually targeting you to do so, instead of spreading infections common in Microsoft systems.

My dad's friend had fixed my pc using Dr.Web . Thank you everyone .
