Alone in the dark - Help!
Heyy guys. Need some help with a problem im having. I just got the new Alone in the dark game yesterday, but im having some problems. The first time i played the game it worked fine, but once i exit the program it will not start again. Tried everything, but the only thing that seems to work is by re-installing the game, then after the setup when i click 'Launch program' it works fine. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

This does belong in the "Computer Help" section.
Anyways, does it come up with an error?

Well, here's an idea: Try the Alone in the dark forum/technical support. *glances at Xinghoa's avatar* I love irony. But seriously, it's much better to ask help with a game on a forum where lots of people actually play it.

OFFTOPIC: -_- We (You and Me, Xinghoa) both have avatars from the anime "The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya." I never noticed. There should be a faq for the game about this kind of stuff. Or go to the develpers and tell them about the error.

Try running it as an admin, if you're on vista.

So, it just won't start after the first time? Sounds like you have a bad copy.

Wait, this game's out? Awesome.
Take it back where you bought it if it continues to not work.

But... you couldn't have the game.
It doesn't come out until the 24th, unless you live in Europe because then it came out the 20th.

Yeah Europe (talking to a banned person, so fun) havent tried running as an admin yet, totally forgot about that. Ill try it when i have time. If it still wont work then yeah, must be a bad copy. Still have 5 days left on the weeks definate return policy, so Ill be fine.

Oh my god...
For like the ninety-trillionth time. I am not banned, I just asked Wizzy James if I could have something under my name (I was bored) and he gave me the Banned sign, even though I am not banned.

Re: Alone in the dark - Help!
Fixed the problem, didnt get a single reply on the actual AiTD forums (Shows how helpful Atari is) I played around in folder for AiTD in the program files folder, and I copied the AiTD run shortcut to my desktop and it worked. Turns out that the autorun is screwed. Ah well, at least it works now.
@J, Yes the physics are quite good IMO, the fire is nice, and the lighting is good. I also like smashing wooden doors down, and how they splinter where you hit them.
