Video converter?
Does anyone know where I can find a decent video format converter, that will let me convert FLV files to 3GP. Preferably an open source one which leaves no stupid watermarks behind half way through the video, or doesn't butcher the sound quality too much.
EDIT: And yes I googled it, tried about 5, all had watermarks.

This. Although, if a command line interface scares you as much as it does me, you'll want to get one of the GUIs for it.

Re: Video converter?
That's because you need to get the codec libraries for them.

Re: Video converter?
Hmm.. I found a program called VLC Media Player, it can convert, but I cant see how.. I found a conversion button, but there isnt a 3GP selection. Anyone know how I can get it? Its VLC Media Player 0.9.2 EDIT: Turns out I can change it to the acc file for iPods, so I could just have it on my iPod instead. Its a music video so I guess it is a good idea Its saving it as a .ps file... I told it to convert it to .aac.. -.-

Re: Video converter?
Actually, on the subject of ffmpeg, could someone suggest a good frontend for it in Ubuntu? My laptop can't even handle 640x480 video, so I need to lower the quality of quite a lot of stuff :<

If you've been given a program that works perfectly fine and just isn't "pretty" enough for you, you really don't deserve help. Pay for a converter if you want it pretty.

Re: Video converter?
If you need GUI use MediaCoder or S.U.P.E.R

Re: Video converter?
Actually you can use VLC to convert media files. There's a tutorial on how to do it here. Whether or not you can use this for 3gp I really don't know, as I have no prior experience with that file format.

Re: Video converter?
VLC rocks, but as my all around media/everything player. Never tried converting with it.
