Viruses ?!
Hi there guys.I need to ask you about one question. Is there any anti-viruses that can repair any infected thing. Why im asking? I have found an exclusive update for my fav mod to game (not a cortex). But this file is infected.I really need that file.So i ask you about that. Can you advertise me a good file repairing antivir.Because my Avira AntiVir can repair only 10% of infected files.

Re: Viruses ?!
Uhh....If the file itself is a virus, it can't be fixed. If it has a virus, it can. What game is it, and where did you get the file.
Try looking for the file elsewhere.

Re: Viruses ?!
Uh? An "exclusive update" you say? To a mod? I'm 99.99% sure that's a joke made for the sole purpose of spreading a virus. If it's a mod to a game, it's going to be "exclusive" if you get it from the mod's creator directly. Anywhere else, you're asking for trouble. Even then, mod creators can be virus spreaders in and of themselves.
Give us more detail.

Re: Viruses ?!
Okay, if you're getting said "exclusive update" from another site than the creator of the mod, then it's a virus, not a file WITH a virus.

Re: Viruses ?!
I would advise scanning any file downloaded from the internet that is from a third party (i.e. not big companies). There's a good, free virus scanner from AVG here(or Direct Download)

Re: Viruses ?!
Not sure what you mean... If it's a virus, you need to get rid of it. You're saying that the virus is infecting other files on your computer or what? If it's just the mod, try re-downloading it. If the files are still viral(?), tell the creator about the problem.

Re: Viruses ?!
There's only one file that I've seen somewhat commonly that gets flagged as a virus when it actually isn't, and this most certainly isn't that type. Essentially, the guy is telling you "well, yeah, it's a virus, but that's the only way it'll run!"
Quite simply, if he knows that there's a virus and he refuses to fix it, then he's rather obviously just doing this to propogate said virus. Just live without the update.

Re: Viruses ?!
So in other words, you're saying that you cut off your hand in order to make yourself lighter so you can run faster, but now you're bleeding and it's infected, but you don't want to go the the hospital because you can't run around in a hospital bed. Download and run AVG, like the man said. That should help. You do not need this mod so badly that you have to infect your computer. Also, out of curiosity- living in Ukraine, how does playing a game involving Chernobyl feel?

Re: Viruses ?!
Okay, no, what he's saying is this: He downloaded a mod for his game that supposedly decreases lag. The guy making the mod says that it decreases lag, but it installs a virus to do so, but it's harmless. His virus scanner says that, no, it's not harmless, it's infected with a malicious virus. So what he wants is a way to remove the virus from the file and just leave the mod. That's not possible, though, because obviously the mod IS a virus and not a mod. Just don't download the mod, it's not a real mod, it is FAKE and it's a VIRUS.

Re: Viruses ?!
If I lived in the Ukraine I would go play games in the REAL chernobyl.
Take some pictures of controllers or something man. Go to the center of the zone and take some pictures of the monolith. That's what I do.
Too bad I don't live in the Ukraine.
By the way, how do you know it's a virus? If your virus detector detected it, delete the file. The virus protection should have the option to do that. You can't "fix" files. No program can do that.
