A while ago, nVidia said that they'd release a driver on August 5th for PhysX to work on 8 series and up GPUs.
But they didn't. So I guess they "leaked" a beta version out yesterday because they felt bad or something.
Anyway us High-End Nvidia owners can enjoy PhysX on some games!

Here's the PhysX driver:
Physics Driver

And here's the Graphics Card driver (32 bit. 64 Bit can find the drivers themselves.):
WinXP Graphics Card Driver
WinVista Graphics Card Driver

I think you need both to make it work.

To activate it, open up the Control Panel (go into classic view if you haven't already),
Click the PhysX Control Panel Icon, navigate to one of the tabs (I forget which one)
and tick the box that says PhysX on GeForce!

I tried and it worked laglessly on my 8800 GT, without any performance hit! Sadly only Warmonger seemed to recognize it. I hear that GRAW also works though I haven't tried.
I guess we'll have to wait until the official release for the "Carwash Demo" and "CellFactor".

I want to hear your experiences with the driver.

Here is all the games I've heard work:

Warmonger (All the Artificial Lag is gone ALL OF IT, I've
got a single GPU, Max Settings, and probably 60 FPS. Its Awesome.)

Hah, finally. Hopefully those indie devs will take note and find a way to make their programs work with this.
Did I hear UT3 supports it? Kickass. Too bad I uninstalled that several months ago..

EDIT2: Goddammit you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ I looked and the Driver was under 32-bit programs.
EDIT3: and now I have to get the 177.79 WHQL Candidate driver.

I'll guess you're on 64-bit, yah?
DL the Phys-X driver, search 177.79 WHQL Candidate, get that, go to 32-bit programs, turn phys-x by geforce on, and ta-dah.
Make SURE you get the 64-bit WHQL candidate.
Warmonger is boring because Gamespy Comrade (Blech) is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and keeps saying my warmonger isn't the newest.

Are you sure this works on the 8 series? because it doesn't mention them on the DL page...

Yah, Zalo is running it on an 8800, and I've read forums saying it runs 8000 Series cards, so to my knowledge, it runs 8000's.

Warmonger works fine for me, but Cellfactor crashes painfully.

Thats a Cellfactor Bug, not a driver bug.

But Only, and I mean ONLY Warmonger, Unreal Tournament 3, and GRAW + GRAW2 support these drivers.

When the official ones come out it will support more.

And yes, I'm sure that it works, I just got off a long game of Unreal Tournament 3 demo. With my 8800 Card.

UT3 is cool for the vehicles, not much else. I need to try out this PhysX driver once I find somebody I can borrow a friggin xp install cd from. I took a look at some of the projects going on in the PhysX department, and apparently they have cloth ripping, dense goo simulation, fire, and realistic wood breakage working pretty well with that engine. Looks friggin' sweet.

it works for the 8's, 9's and GTX series'.
shame i dont have one of them : (

dammit i was gona go for an ati HD4850 but now this has come i want to fork out more for a GTX260.

haha i fired up warmonger on my 7650GS (good card, actualy, passively cooled and 85nm tech) today and the fps must of been about 9fps, going down to 3 when i shot a building and 0.5 when i interacted with cloth. every setting on its lowest aswell : (

Warmonger is only slow, because of Physics Politics and Artificial Lag.
