Upgrading my pc !!URGENT!!
So I'm going to upgrade my pc soon and I wanted to know before I order the parts if they are actually going to work together I checked all the parts but I just wanted to make sure.
Biostar 8600gt 512mb 540eclk 1400mhz Dx10.0 Dvi Hdtv Sli Pci-E X 16x
Amd® Boxed AthlonX2 5200+ Processor - 2.70ghz Dual Core, Socket Am2
Transcend® Jetram High-Performance 1GB DDR2-800 240-Pin Module
Gigabyte® Chassis - Matx Tower 4-In-1 Solutions, Micro-Atx Black/Silver Dual Tone Chassis
Asus M2a-Vm Hdmi , All-In-One With Bundled Pci-E(16x) Hdmi Add-On-Card - Socket Am2
And also would a 230v PSU be able to handle all of this.

Alright, my problem with topics is this: If you don't know enough about computers to be able to check parts against eachother, then you have no ♥♥♥♥ business building a computer. Take it to a professional who gets payed to do this ♥♥♥♥.

Re: Upgrading my pc !!URGENT!!
I run a similar rig to this (With a bit more power but similar power usage) and we ended up going for a 500v power supply to get it all to run. do not skimp on the power supply it is one of the most vital parts of your computer to pay good money for, unless you like the possibility of wrecking the rest of your machine when your cheap PSU goes off.
As for the parts, they look compatible enough and if you've already checked then you've done as much as any of us will be able to do for you without actually owning the parts.
Though, why are you only getting 1gb of RAM? RAM is fairly cheap and 1gb will bottleneck those specs a bit.

I'm strapped on cash and besides 1 gig is enough I am barely using the 1 gig I have now.
All I am really worried about is the ram I am not exactly sure about the pins it uses

Re: Upgrading my pc !!URGENT!!
Ignore my warning at your own peril, but a 230v power supply is unlikely to be sufficient enough to power all of that gear.
And look up the products on newegg or some similar site, it should have the specifications you need, such as the pin specs.
(A quick search on your motherboard revealed that it has 4x240 pin memory slots)

Believe me I know more than you think. If you knew a damn thing you'd know that you can match them up from each part's spec page. And yes, 230 is woefully inadequate.

Re: Upgrading my pc !!URGENT!!
What you need to look for in a power supply is the watts, not the volts, the volts is the voltage that is used in your country. I would say one of these should be enough.

Re: Upgrading my pc !!URGENT!!
Assumed he meant watts and mixed them up. Whenever people think of electricity and power they think volts. Watts is duh stuf n da litblubz dhurr.
