Post Becoming a Admin, a Mod, or a Global Moderator
Just wondering- How does this happen?
Are there certain requirements?
Who decides as to who fills these positions?
Can just anyone become one?

Thx

Post Re: Becoming a Admin, a Mod, or a Global Moderator
Either I choose someone who I think is suited and resposible, or WJ randomly ops someone. Then I decided whether or not to get rid of them. Staffing here is just a big, online corruption of russian roulette. Pun possibly intended.

Given the history of who has/does/probably will become mods and admins, pretty much anyone can be one it seems, provided they have more brain cells than the average, or fewer, when we feel like giving someone a fake position as a joke. I don't think that counts for what you mean though.

So when do you decide when to get rid of or obtain a new Admin/Mod/Global Mod?

Btw who is Alpert?

Alpert is the random guy we keep locked in the basement of the webhosts data center, after the explosion we sort of hoped he was dead, but he crawled out of the rubble with just a few scratches and bruises. He's back down there again now, with a console that lets him log into the IRC server, which is apparently what we originally thought we needed him to help with.

I assassinate people when I decide they is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/irresponsible, or the other way around, when it comes to recruiting.

So basically, ion a nutshell, you pick someone who you think will do good, and if they don't, you fire them.

And what are your guys' responsibilities as Admins?

Making the rules and firing moderators for not enforcing them, mostly. Sometimes we bother to actually do somehting ourselves, but really we prefer to let the mods do it so that we can blame any public relations blunders on them and keep our hands clean (This answers your first question). We also fight of maurading bands of spambots, our fingers flying across the keys as we try to hold the line bans strong against their repeated attempts to brute-force through our security. It's a cruel world on the internet, and it's our job to hold it at bay so that things can stay peaceful in this little forum. Due to certain past events on the staff, we also have to deal with the ghosts of admins past, who haunt us in the present and stir up crazy ideas like the Corporations forums, and bad moods like the aggression surrounding the THOR debacle. We are also the guardians of Data's secret forum area where he keeps track of progress on CC, so we are the first to know about new features and stuff. It's a pretty rad job, most of the time.

This is a stupid question, but what the heck-
So do you only hire people who have been on this forum for a while?
Or do hire people with clean records?
(ex. no bans or warinings)
Sorry for the load of question, but I am just curious
Edit: And Oh!
What do the Global Mods(The Last Banana,Control,Kelas)Do?
Like what is the Order in power from least to greatest?
Does it go Forum Mods, Then Global Mods, Then You guys?

Making sure ♥♥♥♥ doesn't ♥♥♥♥ up and fix ♥♥♥♥ up ♥♥♥♥ up.
Haha ♥♥♥♥ you Alenth I shortened your post to a sentence.
By way of answer to last post:
Only stupid questions are questions left unasked.
As for the clean records thing, ♥♥♥♥ you look at Seleia's ban record. Granted most were unwarranted but hey. I've been permabanned like three times so far? Kelas has already been a mod like twice and perma'd once. Daman and Grif need to get mod back are both trolls to the power of rape.
It makes sense to hire people who've been around a while, they tend to know how ♥♥♥♥ goes down.
Global mods can ban and delete posts.
Yes.

Yeah basically. The people who got modded did a lot of good work but a few flaws sometimes stood out enormously. I blame Alenth.
