I was contacted by some guy on ModDB. Apparently he's doing his thesis on modders and the modding community, and he wants modders to take a survey. Here's the link if anyone would like to participate. I thought it was kinda interesting and decided to help him get some more modders, hence this topic.

No offense numgun, but you aren't quite awesome enough to offset the fact that his data will be corrupted by people who don't mod.
If the study is trying to find how long it takes for bacteria X to become resistant to phage Y then the introduction of bacteria Z and phage W will ♥♥♥♥ up the results.
those terms do have meanings

Any survey you release to the internet like this is going to get some skewed results. You can't really help it. CC modding technically is kind of like real modding. The survey is more about why you mod games, not about the fancy technical details.

Except for the fact that a large majority of the people on this forum do not mod.
This would have been better had he PM'd the link to known modders. Eh, not my data set anyway.

Besides the usual culprits of fail who purposefully take non-applicable surveys because they can, why would anyone other than modders take it?

Because they're dumb, because they're bored, because they see 'survey' and click.
