Just a few questions about networks, they are to help me with remote desktop.

1. Can an Iphone be connected to a network so i can use remote desktop to control my computer?
2. How can i be somewhere else e.g. school on a differant network, and connect to my network and go on my computer's desktop?
3. How can i be at home and connect to my school desktop from home, even though i'm on a differant network?
4. How can i be at a friends house (on a differant network) and connect to my computer using remote desktop?

My school's internet is passworded and so is the logon but i have all the things i need to logon to my account if i can get connected to a computer there.

I'm not sure about windows remote desktop. You can use a vlan application and such to connect to your computer and control it from a remote location. You have to have it installed on both computers though.

What are you talking about? IPhones have windows remote desktop? What?

also something tells me you do not knows what a network is

My suggestion:

String a LAN cable.

It's the only way to be sure.

If you forward port 3389 on your router, you should be able to connect to your home system's remote desktop from another place.

That's assuming you have remote desktop set up and both locations have at least XP Pro. There are probably other RDP clients if you don't have XP Pro at school or wherever else.

I didn't mean to say vlan, sorry. I meant VNC.

That's a good free one. There are better ones but you'd have to buy them.

Read this please.

2. How can i be somewhere else e.g. school on a differant network, and connect to my network and go on my computer's desktop?

Depends on a lot, if the network security is as strong as it should be, it will block you.
But if you still want to try it create an account here, log in at the school computer and add it to the list of computers to wich you have access.

3. How can i be at home and connect to my school desktop from home, even though i'm on a differant network?

Same as the school computer, but if it blocks you you can open the router ports for it

4. How can i be at a friends house (on a differant network) and connect to my computer using remote desktop?

Same as above

Never tested those, so I don't quite have an opinion on them.
