Can anyone help with an error I get on itunes? Every time I try to download some songs or podcasts, I get error -50, and it has something to do with my connection or my firewall or something. Has anyone here experienced this error, or possibly solved it?

I already checked the site many times. The solution may have something to do with the fact that, I'm 12 and I looked up , so my dad put CYBERSITTER on my computer. It blocks me downloading mods and some music on itunes. Something to do with filesharing maybe. But thanks anyway cambiogris.

It's probably blocking the port that iTunes uses to connect. I think my Spanish teacher at school had this problem (he downloaded Spanish songs for us to translate), though I'm not sure of the port that needs to be forwarded.

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1629 says iTMS uses 80 and 443, so you could ask your dad to go into the settings and forward those, and hope he obliges.

There are some other ports on that page that list "iTunes Radio Streams" which could be the podcasts you're talking about, but I'm not sure.

No, the podcasts I speak of is but one(Sorry I just felt like typing like that). It is...The Instance: The World Of Warcraft Podcast. If you can guess, I'm somewhat of a spoiled child, minus the brat(well,most of the time). I think Cybersitter classifies it as explicit, they once said douche. It's a pretty funny podcast, if you play WoW you should check it out. But back on topic. I've been working with my dad, and since sunday is father's day, I'm going there to his house cuz my parents are divorced. He can fix it then! I think he may have blocked file sharing.
