SEAMonster uses a (not so) new
Technique called Seam Carving to resize images by removing the low detail areas or enlarging only without reducing the quality! You can even Remove Individual Objects from a scene. Automatically! These pictures don't do it Justice. Watch the video. http://www.seamcarving.com/ And Finally, the Download. http://www.codeplex.com/seamonster/Rele ... seId=10269 Other Seam Carving Programs: http://drawk.wordpress.com/2007/09/04/a ... m-carving/ - Flash AS3 Carving http://eigenclass.org/hiki/object-remov ... am-carving - Object Removal In Seam Carving http://brain.recall.googlepages.com/cair - Multi-threaded C++ Implementation http://rsizr.com/ - User Friendly Flash version http://yaniv.leviathanonline.com/blog/m ... m-carving/ - Explanation on How the Algorithm works |

It'd be cool if you could remove the water in the whale picture. |

That would be stupid, then it would just be some whale's fin (part of it anyway) and random mountains in the background. The rest would be white. |

I saw the video for this a while ago. It's amazing. Too bad the demo doesn't have the feature where you can enlarge the image, or the part where you can select specific areas to remove. |

Tim, you can remove parts of an image by clicking "Subtract", Ctrl + B, and highlighting the area where that part of the image used to be. Ctrl + B again and start carving. The other Seam Carvers I think can enlarge the image. |
