Re: red alert 3!!
It looks exactly the same as the last CnC game, which I found boring, limited and nowhere near as much fun as Company of Heroes or Supreme Commander.
I guess I'll reserve my judgements till I've played a demo though, I've been proved wrong before =P

Re: red alert 3!!
cnc 3 was good imo, just wasnt as good as the classics. also comparing it to sup commander and COH, is pretty impossible as cnc is always about fast paced, straight into the action gameplay that doesnt have the same scale as those games.

Usually, I really don't like RTS games, but this one seems like it's pretty awesome. I might just get it.

Have you even played Company of Heroes? SupCom has the large scale slow paced battles sown up. Company of Heroes is faster and more action packed than CnC has ever been. Though I honestly don't intend to compare them directly, I just found CnC3 really... boring and featureless.

Re: red alert 3!!
Well it will be Command and conquer red alert 2 on steroids. But wait, C&C:RA2 was made by Westwood. C&C:generals was made by EA. And the other games in C&C world. My point is, that it wont be as good as the original :/

Re: red alert 3!!
i gues your kinda right capnbubs, but i think that both those games have a hell of alot more depth strategically speaking. i mean all you have to do on cnc3 is to just spamm crappy vehicles right at the start of a match and youve won.

Re: red alert 3!!
Meh, Red Alert 2 was a piece. It wasn't balanced and didn't feel very strategic at all. I'd have to go with Bubs on this one. :<

Re: red alert 3!!
Well, I'm excited. I loved RA1, I loved RA2, I liked the rest of the C&C series (though, admittedly, I'd consider C&C3 to be the weakest so far), and I am very, very excited about RA3. FINALLY, I get to play with dreadnaughts and Karkov bombers again!

Re: red alert 3!!
Red Alert was good. End of.
Red Alert 2 was fun, nice cheesy cutscenes and rather cheesy but at the same time slightly believable units that I believe were nice and balanced.
Red Alert 3 looks... Way too over the top. Armoured bears, fine, we had dolphins and mind controlled squids in RA 2. An APC that shoots the troopers out of a cannon into the air? Bit too far out there methinks. It'll be good I think, but it'll be no improvement on the first two.

Re: red alert 3!!
RA1 and RA2 were just good games. CNC3: ISNT EVEN PART OF THE RED ALERT UNIVERSE. EVEN THOUGH IT SUCKED.
RA3 looks really fun.

Re: red alert 3!!
Im just wondering here... is the red alert timeline related to the tiberium timeline (Nod vs GDI)? Just heard rumors that there was Kane in red alert 1 at the end if you won as the soviets.
*shrugs*
Btw, not really a fan of RTS games myself but I did like the Black Missile: Apocalypse mod that turned RA2 crazy with the most ridiculous stuff ive ever seen. Thats the mod where I got the novastar idea from.

Actually, yes, that is true. Thanks to EAs stubborness and ignorance, however, that fun little mystery was shot down with a ♥♥♥♥ cannon.

Re: red alert 3!!
Kane crushes Stalin with a rock at the end of it all - It was supposed to be linked - an alternate timeline. It's a pity that EA have no idea what so ever as to continuity and game design.

Re: red alert 3!!
Don't be mean against EA. Well, don't hate EA Maxis. They're making spore. Back on topic: We're being jumped! Well, that'll put major lag on my computer. I thing C&C: Tiberium Sun was the best -based on the fact that is the only one I;ve extensively played...-
