Post Old Moderators Brains and Proto-Brains
From my times of lurking, I remember the moderaters being Brains and Proto-Brains.
Then they were eventually replaced.

Why did they dissapear?

Because the actual names of the PHPBB groups that they're using have been changed from Brains/Proto Brains to Moderators/Admins/etc
No people were lost in the change, to my knowledge.
