Everyone has heard of Linux. It's this cool new OS that doesn't do all the ♥♥♥♥ up ♥♥♥♥ MS does, and it's free! I'm actually not sure how this system does it; it's emulation, rather than true installation, so it might not even require a partition. I'm only used to boot disc setups. |

2 gigs? I partitioned 35 or 40. Seriously, 10+ is a must. At least, if you plan on DOING things with it. |

Notrly. I've had functional Linux distros on 2gigs. And that was Ubuntu. Sixteen: I'd suggest Damn Small Linux. It really is the smallest OS you're ever going to find. |

You sure that wasn't an older version? I installed Ubuntu in Windows (Wubi) the other day and it told me the minimum was 4GB. 1/2GB of that probably went to swap space, so if you have a lot of RAM, you might not have that problem, but you'd be cutting it close. |

D= Since I don't install TWELVE DOZEN MASSIVE COMMERCIAL GAMES at once, and I keep most of my documents on an FTP in my closet, I had more than enough space. @Cambio: It was a while ago. Can't remember what version exactly, though. |
