Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe
Ok this topic existed, had about 20 replies or more. In OpenTTD you are a owner of a transporting company. You must build busses, trucks, trains (5 kinds, steam, diesel, electric, monorail, and maglev) planes, boats. You can transport many different goods. Like Passangers, mail., oil, goods, valuables, watel, gum,and all sorts of other things. The main difference betwen OpenTTD an the original, is the open source, new features, new graphics, and others. Another great feature it multi-platformal. It can be runned of Windows, Linux, Mac. Another feature, Multiplayer, its very fun to play together. >>>DOWNLOAD<<< (note, there is a beta version out, its stable, so go ahead and downlaod this one) <<<IMPORTANT>>> READ THIS!!To run the game ou are required to have the original graphic files from TTD (transport tycoon deluxe) I could provide a link to a site to download it, but Antiquity and other ppl said it would be warez. I you need help in installing it, PM me, or come to IRC and ask GodItself for help.

And my long post disappeared.. Thanks, Thor. At any rate, reposting my island picture. Important: Disregard the green message in the middle about the land, as I play online, that was a message to my friend who was there at the time.

Word of advice: never EVER buy out another company that the AI made, you will spend your next half hour removing vehicles that doesn't have any income

Re: Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe
TTD is abandonware from Microprose these days, so it's fairly legal to dl it. Anyways, OpenTTD is really fun game! ~Fippe

p3lb0x wrote: Abandonware is illegal in USA for some reason Because Abandonware isn't a real term. The reason why it's illegal is because companys put extremely long copyrights on the materials/art used in-game. IIRC we'll be dead or very old once they run out. It's only "fairly legal" because no one really cares about them any more, even legal teams.

I've seen the AI that place trains near a mill/refinery, and get nothing because no one is bringing stuff there. They need improvement. Also, I saw the retail version at the back of a third world video game store.

They do get income from those, albeit slow... One of my AI companies was worth 200 million after a particularly lengthy game... Considering I bought 75% of him at $2 value, I'd consider that a pretty huge profit for me...

Re: Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe
That only happened to me when I tried the new AI. My AI don't know how to use ships, and use large planes on a small airport. Also, you should try some of the newGRF patches. You can get 95 mph oil blimps from these.
