 What is ping?When I play Battlefield I sometimes get kicked for having high ping. What's ping? And Latency too?
I Google'd it and Wikipedia'd it but I didn't get an explanation. |

Re: What is ping? Ping is the amount of time it takes for the computer to hit the server and back. I'm guessing. Or another word for it is lag.

Re: What is ping? Latency is the time a transmission takes to travel between your computer and the server/host/whatever.
It's not connected to speed; you can have a massive download speed, but a low latency, and it won't do you any good. Ping, in videogames, is just the latency between the player and the server.
