You seem to think they weren't THE big name back before the Wii. Yes, with the ridiculously long 7th gen and Wii's inability to compete with the ecksbawks and PS3, people migrated over to Sony and Microsoft, but if the Weeoo is a viable platform for it, people will play the games on it. Hell, Bayonetta 2 is coming out on Weeoo only, Blops 2 is on Weeoo, there'll be more to come later, I think Nintendo can make a comeback here. And god damn I hope they do, it'd make me so happy.
I'm sure plenty of Nintendo-ites had to switch over to a PS3 or 360 because of the Wii's lack of serious games, but if they rectify that the Nintendo fans would be more than happy to switch back.

You guys all provide valid arguments, but you have to remember humans are not always as predictable as you guys are saying, my opinion will be based like this, if they do get more serious games to increase their chances of becoming competitors again they really have to make more serious games, and maybe to surprise the gamers make some sequels to fan favorites, like maybe make a legend of zelda twilight princess 2, because LoZ: Twilight Princess was an awesome game, and I would get a new game system just to play #2 in in that specific Zelda series

I play my Wii just as much as I play my PS3 and 360. They all have good games.

I'll be happily sitting right here in the dim glow of my computer monitor playing my far superior PC rts master race games

Nintendo consoles are the only ones worth owning.
Why? They're the only ones that do things you can't just have on a PC but better. The only reason to own a home console is if it has a gimmick.

I actually REALLY want a Wii and a DS again. Too bad I shamefully traded them in for an Xbawkz when I should've just kept them and never wasted my time on an Xbox. :c
Now that it's at the end of it's life tho, it should be cheap enough and have a large backlog of games.

PC, N64 and GEHMBOI. That is all i'll ever need. Maybe a few Android things too, but they aren't quite as necessary.
