when my little sister walked in my hole she asked if it was me as soon as she saw it so I suppose I did a reasonably good job, I realise that I drew the muscles WAY too small though, seriously I'm like a walking wall of muscle or something.

Geeze, harsh. It's not that bad. It looks like he tried to draw somebody's actual facial features. In my opinion, he didn't do too horribly.

Actually, yeah. No lolz there. A friend of mine just showed me a personal wiki program thing so I can put together all of my story info.

Example: The girl there is Ricka Fuyu. Her older brother is the current head of a fairly powerful crime family. While she herself isn't directly involved in any criminal acts, she's aware of her family's business (especially since she witnessed the murder of her parents - the previous leaders of the family - in a crime-related shooting many years ago) and interacts with clan members with some frequency. She gave up both public and private schools five years prior for home schooling, since she has no desire to interact with the public at large. Only recently has she been considering moving on to an actual university. Her desired field is aerospace engineering and she's kind of a tech-head, so she'll frequently help people out with mechanical and computer-type things. Beyond business though, she's not awfully friendly. Not mean, but not friendly.

Ricka is just one (an important one, but just one) amongst many, many characters, in a story of galactic proportions. Though it begins on a planetary scale.

On that previous picture: that is NOT how I want her facial profile to look. I absolutely suck at drawing a single character's profile with any consistency, barring a couple characters. I think I'm gonna go look for examples of different "profile styles" and work on it and then re-visit this character. While my style is inarguably Japanese-style, I actually attempt to make all of the different characters faces look unique. This is challenging!

Only objection to darlos' thing is that one of the legs look broken. Maybe it's just the perspective, but I don't think feet are supposed to bend that way.

Hm... I was somewhat concerned with that when I drew it. I think it's a possible position, to have your feet basically "perpendicular" to each other... stand up and try it out. It doesn't seem unusual if you consider she probably just turned a bit to look behind her.
