Did you know that the greek government is allowing to sell food that went off for some time, depending on the product, at lower prices? It's kinda logic, food doesn't get in-edible (?) after the date shown instantly, you can eat them without problems after some days (depending on the food though). But it kinda sounds desperate, though they said it was a measure they had adopted years before and now it's reactivated.

Well Greece is in the middle of a huge economic collapse because they were being stupid and living like gods, unknowing of how much that floundered their money.
But if I understand, you're saying they're selling dated products for a lower price? That makes sense. It's a good way to get food to the people, even if the food is a bit nasty.

Yeah, though it sounds like it's a desperate measure, unless before thinking about it for a while. I'm pretty sure people has eaten food which should have gone off a few days ago before.

I wouldn't intend for my nation to go down with a sinking ship and I'd refuse to bail out nations (read : Spain, Greece and others) who can't manage their own economies. If they fail and collapse, so be it.

How's that a desparate measure? That sounds like something any other country would do at any given time just for an economic boost, not just because they're really low. I can see how old dairy products and eggs and stuff could definitely be bad for sale but I assume (hope) they aren't selling those?

Yes, they aren't selling those.

But usually they change other things like retirement age, money spent on stuff and that kind of things. This one just sounds more radical, though, if you think about it, it's not that dramatic.

Random question, do any of you guys know what's wrong with my knee? I was running earlier, and soon after it felt tight around my kneecap, and just now it's been exploding into pain. I'm not moving it at all but I'm still feeling probably the worst pain I've felt in my life. It's actually causing me to cringe. When I move it I can feel and hear my kneecap cracking. Also, I've already made an appointment with my doctor.

Oh well, I guess I can't go to school tomorrow, even though I've got that big paper on Mexico due, that I have not written any of.
