Not to mention that wires can catch on things, or just rub against your jacket and make funny noises in your ears.

Also, power kneecaps. Ala powerfist. So you can knee someones sternum out through their backs.

Powered exoskeletons for use in factories/storage facilities. Life would be so much easier in those places without all the electrical forklifts buzzing around at high speeds.

SCV good to go, sir.
On Topic: Physically impossible, but black hole powered machinery. The black hole would be held in place by some sort of gravity field, the energy spewage off of the sides would power the machine, and whatever couldn't be used to power everything would be fed back into the black hole. If it were possible, it would (possibly) be quite sustainable, because it wouldn't have any refuse, since it would be fed back into oblivion, and also since it would theoretically keep its charge indefinitely.

A super-black hole dyson sphere. Enjoy finding a material that can form a perfect sphere around a super black hole whilst keeping its structural integrity. Enjoy regulating the mass of the black hole to ridiculous precision. Enjoy having your regulation equipment parts at distances far enough away from each other to have actual difficulties synchronising them. Enjoy actually managing to harness the massive spectrum of radiation.

Enjoy having to use whole solar systems worth of material to form the dyson sphere.

Orbital elevators with a massive space station on top, in order to be able to harness as much solar energy as possible.

Hey hey hey: Treadmills and/or other exercise machines that generate electricity when used. Lose some weight, lower the cost of your energy bills.

America, you'd better listen the ♥♥♥♥ up.

You can do that with electrical treadmills.

Rocket propelled noobs. Dispose of your trash the easy way, and their "dunce" hats make for bunker penetration.

How would you generate energy with a treadmill? Treadmills work by spinning the 'ground' underneath you for you to run on, which requires energy.

Now, an exercise bike, on the other hand...

I've run on treadmills that just have you propel the track for it to measure how far you've run.

They should make treadmills out of thin metal, and give you magnetic shoes.
