Re: DRL City!
well I'm just posting this just because. I didn't really try that hard, and it turned out like ♥♥♥♥, but... oh well... Statue of a hand with an eye on it reaching out of a bland white box. Attachment:

Re: DRL City!
I like how malleable this looks, making a building. Is the light source top left?

Re: DRL City!
Hyper: I don't know why, but I like it. It could use some more contrast, though. 3 BioBen: Not too shabby! I know I say this a lot, but just a tad more contrast would be nice. Your colors you're using could be better as well, since they're all almost the same brightness as each other. 3 neroe23: Nice, a bank! Some issues, however. The windows have a dark line under them, and make them look like a saggy eye lid. Meaning, it makes them look curved. You generally want to use the same shade all around for a flat pane/wall of _____. The dollar sign isn't in isometric perspective. Needs more contrast, meaning you should use darker shades of colors! The little stairway exit on the ceiling isn't casting a shadow. 2
The light source is directly above the viewer.

Use Art tutorials to your advantage! I approve of their use as long as you don't copy anything from them! I must stress this, as this will help a lot to read these! Re: DRL City! Turn ends next Wednesday!
Well, Mr. Crazy, here is another update to my house...after this, I'll have to buy a lot nextdoor for a garage, I suppose. And then I can have a yard, too!

A solid 2. I seriously do recommend reading the tutorials. Especially this one.

I assume you aren't trying to prevent anyone from making a water tower.

Blargh, if the best pixel artists should be mayors, I think I might need to elect DMSK2 for head of District 9 :S My skills shrivel like an 80 year old man's penis when compared to his hydra of a ♥♥♥♥. I'll update my building, though, add some more shading on the walls etc to hopefully push it up to a Grade 3.
