It's like writing a book on the same desk for eleven years, off and on. You might spill some ink, leave some clutter here and there, but the book's finished. So quit beating a dead horse. (And sorry Miggles, I just wanted to give my two cents.)

Re: The Lounge
Sothe, they're perfectly allowed to play Metagame, but that really doesn't make a good first impression at all. What you should be experiencing first is dicking around in scenarios or old campaign style missions. Then once you've seen where the game properly shines, you should play the Metagame to get a different experience. Sadly, the campaign is the first thing people jump at.

Re: The Lounge
That's how they WANT to and that's how they SHOULD but at the moment that is a bad way to first play this game, since it leaves a bad impression of it. Instead of experiencing exploding pixelly gibby physicsy goodness, you get... base management.

I wouldn't say I'm trolling. Just poking a little fun. But I genuinely don't like what Data has done with Cortex Command.

CC WAS MADE TO BLAST ♥♥♥♥ TO DEATH WITH DROPSHIPS BASES ARE REALLY TOMBS TO HIDE YOUR BRAIN IN THE DEEPEST PART OF A SCENE WHILE THE INSANE GORE FEST HAPPENS IN THE OUTSIDE
Aside from that, at least we, the players who have played this before a working campaign (read B26) and focused on skirmishes, know how much the game has developed and which is the real beauty of Cortex Command. Actually nothing most actual gamers are used to.

Well aware of the trolling, and no, I think Sothe is dumb for reasons unrelated to thinking CC shouldn't be released yet. That I can sympathize with. I'm just saying why it was and what is wrong with the game. What I think Data SHOULD do, is get the Dev team to crank out a proper campaign, like the old B23 era one. A bunch of missions with a connecting story, differing goals in each mission, etc etc, and have the Metagame be renamed Strategy Mode or something, and have it underneath the Scenario button. As for the mods problem, that'll get fixed as soon as Workshop integration is up and running, and people start putting mods on there.

Hire weegee and implement Times of Hardship into the game. Bad Boy too and add all the UniTec missions, which are pretty much a good campaign, into the game. Make UniTec vanilla in the process.

Re: The Lounge
I personally find all the rage about CC hilarious.
I honest to god think people are retarded. They go out and drop 60$ on games with repetitive content, lacking gameplay, and general poor design, but defend those 60$ shitpiles worth a good 8 hours of gameplay max to the death. (Skyrim, CoD, [any sports game series], Battlefield, etc)
They then turn around and insult Cortex Command as being 'not worth the money', which I have probably played a good 100 hours of at least, all for only 20$.
Cost to enjoyment ratio, CC is winning by a mile.

That can't possibly be on PC. Invisible UI.
I laughed though.
