If you're going to argue that nothing is real you can't really base anything on creation because creation didn't happen You're essentially just writing fiction at that point

Either fiction, or the not-known truth.

Re: The Lounge
Considering that if it's true then it's objectively unprovable there is no difference except probability Which leans pretty heavily in fiction's favour

Well then, let's say it's the biggest truth that never existed.

Re: The Lounge
You're right, I phrased that wrong. That is just one of the many possible sequences of events. I just started thinking about it after realizing that the preferred state of the universe is existence over non-existence. This is evident by the fact that existence exists at all. In my little ramble up there, I chose the idea that the original state of all existence was chaos (as opposed to nothing because nothing begets nothing and as your existence proves, it certainly wasn't nothing in the beginning). I then dramatized a way in which chaos might beget a self-organizing system (like how primordial earth begot life which uses evolution as the mechanism for self organization and improvement). After that it's pure fantasy, much like theoretical physics and religion. Regardless of its veracity, thinking about existence from the "beginning" onward certainly is thought-provoking, no? Or if you don't like that, how about the "sequence of events from chaos to consciousness"?

Re: The Lounge
The universe may not prefer existance, it may have just happened to turn out that way.

Re: The Lounge
See that's where your error lies, you are constructing your model of the "real" universe using allegories from the one that it feels like we are inhabiting Comparisons such as evolution, the big bang and current understanding of physics are meaningless, because if your hypothesis were to be true they wouldn't be real anyway
There doesn't even have to be a flow of time or cause to effect, those are constructs of the same thing you are using to do your thinking
This is what makes such discussions inherently meaningless because if you discount reality you have no frame of reference from which to draw any conclusions at all

This parallels my objection against the argument which people are fond of using to prove there is a god (or some sort of omnipresent being that started everything else): "Something cannot just come from nothing!" What if it can? There is no way to prove it one way or another, because we are something and cannot comprehend nothing in the literal sense of the word.
EDIT: Also when people try to both acknowledge this and argue further is when I get really tired of philosophy, that happened a lot in college and caused me to drop my philosophy classes.

Re: The Lounge
I just got in the alpha for Gear Up, a game on steam green light.
It's gonna be fun
EDIT : Played the game for a while. Good concept and the tank customization is fun, but the game seriously needs a lot of work. I crashed the game by getting hit by my own gun shot, shotguns have infinite range, the double barrel turret is OP and needs a nerf, cannon "6" needs a balancing, laser's need a buffing, tesla and stun both should be fixed. Conquest mode looks interesting, but is inoperable.
