Re: The Lounge I began programming in Java to make android apps.
Java is very similar to C# indeed, but this stupid Eclipse IDE is stupid.
According to it, I don't have any kind of errors on my code, and yet it doesn't work.

Re: The Lounge Eclipse never really worked right on my PC either
that said, if it's not giving you errors and your program still doesn't work then you've added a memory leak or bad pointers or an invalid file link or something that only occurs at runtime rather than anything that a compiler could possibly pick up

But I really hate not having a book for this. I've seen many tutorials and they all explain in different ways, without actually explaining anything. It's like "Do this and that, and this does that thing, so place it here and it does that. Compile and test now."

Re: The Lounge Might want to also put some checks in at various spot that output a line to console or something at various points so you can whittle down what's going wrong.
Unless it's breaking on run, in which case comment out chunks of code until you find the one that breaks it.

And after that there are a bunch of things I didn't care reading. Is there any webpage in which I can see what is this error and why it happens?
