That is unquestionably the most useless comment i've ever received for anything ever, and i've received a lot of useless comments. See, i wouldn't mind it if you told me WHY it was sub par and HOW to fix it, but right now you just come off as a jackass with nothing better to do than to try and push his unreasonable anger onto others. I know you're better than that, Mackerel, so please stop trying to convince me otherwise.

i love the colours used for that painting, shook! the subtle purple tones on the rocks really add to the mood. i did notice the perspective could use a little work, for example the path of broken rocks in the center of the lava pool looks like theyre going downwards rather than coming towards you, the should gradually be getting larger as they get closer i would also like to see some more going on in the very background, perhaps far away mountains/plateaus to frame the scene as for fine detailing its mainly all about textures, go do small studies (they can be like 5 minutes or less each) from photos to learn how rocks, mountains, and lava look and 'feel' (dont touch lava), then do a few larger studies (10-15 minutes each) see how the two interact together naturally. this is something im still working on too, its overwhelming to add detail to objects in an entire scene without first intimately understanding the individual objects themselves
Oh man, this is extremely useful, thanks! Might try to rectify some of those things in the near future. It's actually a bit funny regarding rocks, because having studied geology for two years, one should think that i'd know how a rock looks and feels. But do i really? Nope. :U Perhaps my downfall is that i've seen how super different rocks can look, and can't really think of a proper "generic" rock as a result. For example, compare eclogite and pumice (both of which aren't the most common of rocks), or for some more common rock types, gneiss, conglomerate and basalt. For the most part though, you could probably get away with calling things granite, sandstone or basalt. (potentially also limestone but most people don't think "MASSIVE WHITE CLIFFS" when they hear "rock") But anyways, i digress and ramble about rocks, thanks once again for the valuable feedback! I definitely do need to work on my perspective, yeah.

sorry if the subject matter is weird. im kind of embarrassed showing my art here but i know some of you actually like it, and i appreciate that a lot, so im just kind of going to suck it up and share it anyways.
I can tell you that you have absolutely no reason to be embarrassed at all, because even your Paint doodles are wonderful to behold. Also, as Roast said, that owl is super legit. The amount of detail put into that entire painting is excellent. Normally i'd at least TRY to offer something constructive, but i can't put my finger on anything at all, so props on that. c:

Dude. That's bloody amazing. The guards on the right seem odd, though.

Re: Art Dump
Thanks man! I should probably do another Chaos themed painting that is a little grungier looking but it worked out okay.
They are an Odd Couple I guess, who knows what they're getting at
I don't know the exact RGB value for the colour of impressed, but if you were to colourpick me right now, you'd find out. That is amazing as all ♥♥♥♥. At first i thought that the gun barrel being transparent was a little slip, but then i noticed that hey, there are actually ♥♥♥♥ holes in the sides of it, so it SHOULD be see-through. :U Also, the blood on the left is a bit blocky, making it look like pixels. I am still deeply impressed though, you got a crazy good level of detail going on!
so anyways now that the par quality has been set
allow me to lower it like all ♥♥♥♥ with an ugly speedpaint
