Re: Art Dump
Had to build a little website for my photography final. http://www.sites.google.com/a/s.dcsdk12.org/drabingsmI put far too much effort into it than I should've.

Re: Art Dump
You gossum nice big photos in there yo. I also find myself wondering how you can possibly get your cat to stand still for long enough to take such neat photos. :U Also aaa thank you guys for all the kind words, i don't feel worthy at all but thanks! c: oh and YESTERDAY i played shadowrun with my friends in shadowrun most mega corporations have a dragon at their tops in realworldland, Kellogg's is pretty much a mega corporation 2 + 2 = kellogg's dragon It was a fairly quick thing so i forgot to make the horn things and such cast shadows, and the shading on the rest isn't even consistent, but hey.

Re: Art Dump
Did some pencil drawings for classes, 2P and isometric perspective practice. Sorry for the slightly fuzzy pictures, haven't had the time to scan them.

Really love that barracks. You even got it down to the tiniest of details.

Re: Art Dump
im in a bad mood but i feel like sharing this, it's a wip of something me and my friend are collaborating together on and i think its coming along nicely so far critiques & suggestions welcomed but keep in mind that a) this is currently a very rough draft and b) only half of this is/will be my own work. i did the initial sketch and gave a sample colour palette, she layed down a lot of the painting and i've been tweaking it. when i'm finished refining details and stuff ill have her go back and fix up textures and foliage because she has better brushes than i do ahahh.

That's ♥♥♥♥ amazing already! In fact, the style reminds me a lot of Rayman Legends, which is very high praise in my book, given that i absolutely adore the art style of that game. c:

Re: Art Dump
I almost feel bad for lowering the average art quality of this page so much... Almost. Only almost, because LAVA. lava soothes my FLAMING HAM SPIRIT Although i still have no idea how2finedetails. I'll get to that later. :U

Re: Art Dump
oh sheesh @ above comments, thank you so much! wasnt expecting such positive reactions haha
i love the colours used for that painting, shook! the subtle purple tones on the rocks really add to the mood. i did notice the perspective could use a little work, for example the path of broken rocks in the center of the lava pool looks like theyre going downwards rather than coming towards you, the should gradually be getting larger as they get closer i would also like to see some more going on in the very background, perhaps far away mountains/plateaus to frame the scene as for fine detailing its mainly all about textures, go do small studies (they can be like 5 minutes or less each) from photos to learn how rocks, mountains, and lava look and 'feel' (dont touch lava), then do a few larger studies (10-15 minutes each) see how the two interact together naturally. this is something im still working on too, its overwhelming to add detail to objects in an entire scene without first intimately understanding the individual objects themselves
