thanks! yea it sounds silly but i honestly did that on purpose. the further away things are the less detail they have.. normally it wouldn't make a difference for a subject matter this close up, it was done for the sake of dramatization. this probably sounds like a really bull♥♥♥♥ excuse but oh well lol

Good catch, I sorta fixed it but haven't bothered uploading it again. :P
I've been doing some animation practice. Here's an early walk cycle one, still feels a bit too mechanic/jerky I think?

The head moves way too much for a human, for a robot it would be spot on through.

Thanks for the critique, agreed on the head movement. It's too jerky, the trajectory should've been more sinewavey.
Gave it another try which came out better, though still has some problems

leans too forward, and the arms to swing in a forced way as opposed to naturally
the head moves up and down too much as well.

Sorry about the double post. I just wanted to come back and post some progress from the last time I frequented this forum.

Not the worst use of colors I've seen. But the pose is really stiff and unbalanced. It looks like the robot is about to fall backwards

Ooo, loving the level of detail you put into those painting drawing things! Have to agree with p3l though, the pose is a bit awkward, somehow. As is traditional for me, i can't put my finger on WHY it is so, unfortunately. >.>

Also, while we're on the topic of displaying arty progress, allow me to jump in with the minimal progress i've made! See, recently i doodled this little chap.

And then i was like hey, IMMA TRY DIGI-PAINTIN DAT ♥♥♥♥

Disregarding the obvious lack of refinement (it was a pretty quick thing, relatively speaking), i like how this guy ended up looking. I might finally have found a way for me to do digital painty stuff (if this can be called painting) that actually works somewhat!

also more things that i haven't shown you guys here

oh yeah also this

I had another blade I was planning to work on in the lower area of the picture, I just never got around to it.

If its okay with you folks, I'm just going to post links from now on, since i've been using a huge res for most of my stuff.

wip for now, probably gonna see about making the wing more fleshy and loose instead of being a rigid spoke of bone basically.

It's a lame underslung grenade launcher, kinda threw it on there as an afterthought. Also, thanks.
