In the first post there's a picture of a planet/Earth, it is awesome.

This awful crate and sperm shark are dismal compared to the other items you posted. Now I am dubious that the original postings are yours, given the shoddy work on these most recent posts.

WHAT?!??!?!?!?! You are actually saying I lied about making those?! I told you, I just bought 3d coat, and that is what I used to make the last few shitty ones! Alright? I'm still learning 3DC, the others are done entirely in blender, and I have years of experience with it. I can even upload the blendfiles of any you are doubtful of if you like. EDIT: here you go, hosted on pasteall.org. http://www.pasteall.org/blend/716Press render and you should see an identical image to the one I posted. So there.

Full size: http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs50/f/2009/ ... Killer.pngdesktop for you sir. And for those of you who actually think I'm lying about making this stuff, seriously, click the link I posted.

Me like. Very simple, yet it seems intricate.
Can I have a desktop as well? Colorful and wacky, but tinted black so it isn't too distracting.

my god really
you can render a series of basic geometric shapes?
clearly then you are the person who posted those other images
causal relationships follow with blinding simplicity

I like geometric shapes and think that was pretty cool. Perhaps try more solid shapes (remove the wire-frame ones), and make the ones in the back fade more to give a better sense of depth. Maybe just push the distance between each layer apart and keep the lighting as-is, might accomplish that.
Maybe some subtle shade variations too - like making the borders darker gray might make them pop. Play with it, see what comes out!

Interesting wallpaper, Shnitzel... Thanks, your 3D skill is very impressive... I agree with war_man, you could have added colors, but then again, I never asked for a colored wallpaper. Good job!

causal relationships follow with blinding simplicity Can you read? I even gave you the link to my blend file. And that's just a desktop... I'll upload more in the meantime. http://www.pasteall.org/blend/723That's the pavilion one. I would never take credit for another person's work. I've just got a lot of schoolwork and less free time to make stuff right now. Daman wrote: its ok i like your stuff your computer draws By that you're saying all 3d renders aren't art? Creating models in 3d and of course the texturing process is another way of drawing. --Edit-- This thing's rigged and animated, but I'll render it tomorrow. Anyway, the little wheels actually turn the right amount too, thanks to an IPO driver and some math. --Edit 2-- This is just a demonstration of the mechanics, the real animation is gonna take a while to render.

How much of that is procedural, and how much is done using scrips? I like the models here, I still think that you should do more inorganic modeling.

Your organic stuff is only okay-ish, but these mechanical and geometric creations really shine. Why not expand that idea of circular-to-linear motion and make some more complex designs, such robot neck joints or industrial machinery? (Who am I kidding? I just wanted to see a 3D dummy soldier. )
