Re: Spore is coming out in almost a day!
No idea how to properly terraform a planet... it didn't really have much explanation. I hate how you have to basically ♥♥♥♥ babysit all of your allied planets though, it's like they're completely incapable of taking care of their own planets! And I set up armies and the like on my own planets and they still call for the help of my lowly UFO.

I finally got to the space thing again after I broke my install (don't ask), and does it get any faster paced than when you first start out?

I hate that I'll have to wait until November to buy this... I'm flat broke right now.

Re: Spore is coming out in almost a day!
After(Pretty much) beating the game(lol grox) I shut spore off. It was running for ~2 days without a restart. I wanted a higher resolution. Then it refused to start and sat at a black screen forever. Reinstalling did nothing.
I blame Vista and EA.

i hate how once your in space you cant go back to any planet and play it civilisation stage. it would have been awesome to show up on an enemy planet and then build a city and start a war. and control tanks ect or even a troop of people. orrrr even a single creature.

That's what I want, the ability to go back to any stage (except the cell or tribal, >.<) and just play it out like that, as either a single person living on a planet or waging war on a planet, rather than just blowing it up. Oh well, here's my current allied empire: http://i34.tinypic.com/141r63c.jpg

i think its awesome news that their thinking of selling the spore engine and tools, imagine a total ware style realism (lol) game where you can design your own ships, troops, tanks, spaceships, buildings, castles, cities, EVERYTHING. that would be sooo awesome.

Yeah, this would be totally great. Also on a somewhat related note, I think that most people who are complaining about the simplicity should wait for the modders to arrive. I think EA will add packs to the game for editing (More parts/planets) but not change the core game, where people could start to make improvements (as there is at least one of these mods for like every big game) and make it a much, much more fun game for core gamers. Also from what I've gathered, it might be more fun to play spore bit by bit rather than having a gaming marathon. Galactic edition tomorrow! woot!

So okay, I'm not getting this. Once you're in the space stage, you can't go back and do it again from the beginning? I mean, obviously seeing as this is a PC game you could just make another save file, but is there no way to start again within the game you already have?

TLB; not exactly. You can choose to start from any stage, but what you can't do is, say, progress to the space stage, then land on a planet and play from there like it's the civilization stage. You HAVE to go with the options provided by the space stage; rather than set up a city and conquer the planet that way.

Ohhh, I see. So basically all the parts and ships and such are unlocked no matter what? Still, you can start another file, right?

Yes, you can.
And you find the Space parts by exploring space and completing missions.

What's the most sporebucks anyone's accumulated so far?
I have 3.5 million, almost entirely from lucratively trading spice.
