Put a black and white mask on it and erased it around the iris for the color, and that is the true color of her eye too! I did this. Found a space wallpaper and threw some transparency on it. I think it compliments it nicely. or maybe you think it looks retarded. Whatever.

Your sister has pretty eyes. I'm a bit jealous that they're bluer than mine.

Re: Art Dump
Wow, that looks great, Mackerel, but I think that with all those clouds and space theme it would be better with everything as black and white. Maybe it's just me.

That's really cool, except that one really tall cloud gets close to the focus point and messes with the composition a bit. Just looks a bit funny to me. Edit: oh my god sorry, didn't mean to make a stupid new page. DOUBLE EDIT YO: CaveCricket48 wrote: Probably doesn't help with your actual edit, but she has a really pretty iris. It's like a circular waterfall flowing into a bottomless hole (pupil). I feel like it could be inspiration for a painting or something. The rest of the comp was very yellow, and it does counter the nice blue iris, so gray scale it was made.

Re: Art Dump
Emogotsaone, do you have the original in a larger resolution? It'd make a neat wallpaper.

Re: Art Dump
@Cavecricket: What happened was one of the limbs was bending too much so I reheated it to reshape it so it would bend more like the other limb, but I kept having to reheat it over and over, I assume all the constant reheating made the plastic very brittle, it started to get very small stress fractures after some use and then boom. As long as you don't burn or overheat PVC it should make a great bow material, normally, if a PVC bow were to fail it would simply buckle in on itself which is pretty harmless.
Dudeabides: No, no webcomic or anything of that sort, although it is a sort of a goal of mine to illustrate some sort of story.

I haven't drawn much recently, have some fakemon with barely legible names Pupillow is pretty visually weak but I love the pun Not particularly in love with the colour scheme either but that's easy enough to change

Re: Art Dump
Do the amount of Lines on his helmet mean how much times he was in war, or how much times he was shot at the head?

Re: Art Dump
@Matty: I think that style would look much nicer if you varied your line thicknesses, Right now you've got your character and all his gear with the same thick line. eg: give certain less important or smaller things thinner lines and larger things thicker lines. Working on a new bow, this one should be much more powerful than my last one and much more safe as it is much longer so there's less stress on the limbs. I'm using thicker piping so the amount of strength required to bend it is much greater, this makes it 10-20 lbs heavier in draw. I'm going for a traditional longbow look, here's a wip image and handsome toes.

Interesting, I guess it would take a bit of time to get into the habit of putting detail into a hierarchy, but it does sound like something to start trying.
