Thanks man. I'm sure you'll get better with practice. I actually owe a lot of my recent drawings to Andrew Loomis tutorial books.

In other news, I drew an apple today! Or well, a crazy person might call it an apple...Now, I'm not sure why but drawing completely from my mind, seems to suddenly do much better at the technical aspects of drawing the object. While lacking texture or color variation, it's plain to see that this second image has a much more "round" looking form and seems to just be generally more three dimensional looking. EDIT: reshading of previous one in attempt to address some issues with it.

 Re: Art Dump
I feel like that eye is further around the head than it should be but I guess it's hard to tell before the other facial features are there.

 Re: Art Dump
I agree actually, The eye looks too flat compared to the angle of the head and the (axis?) of the eye doesn't match it.

 Re: Art Dump
CaveCricket, if you're going for "realistic figures" then the head is far too large, if you're just going for a cartoonishly correct as in, generally symmetrical and everything is reasonable placed, this it's pretty good. Mostly it's just a matter of proportions which are technically the least important part of anatomy to get "correct" unless you're going for 100% physical accuracy. Got bored a bit ago and wanted to practice drawing something from real life, most convenient example was right at hand.

 Re: Art Dump
I like that second landscape Madmax, the falloff into the blue on the right side gives it a great sense of depth.

 Re: Art Dump
Made the head smaller, added an arm, working on eyes at the moment. I feel like either the arm is off, or the torso is. Edit: Size shape is wonky, it's mostly there for size check with the body at the moment.

 Re: Art Dump
Drew some helmets. Considering going over the lower left digitally and having a shot at making the two bits of hardware on wither side of his helmet in a student copy of 3DS Max I have doing nothing.

I made this, or edited it rather. I took the blink from one of The Slo Mo Guy's videos.

Cool stuff on this page! Those are awesome as always madmax. I love the colours on your landscapes, very vibrant. They kinda remind me of old book/novel covers. Also, the guy in the bottom of your portrait sketches looks like Bruce Lee?

And then there were two. Not my best work, nor the best it has ever printed, but damn nice non the less. Hope this counts as art.
