But, actually, I've been doing some thinking, lots of people have been arguing (not here, but in other places) over what planet that is, and I think, Bungie don't know, they put that in so that we could imagine what happens to him next on our own.

There is no canon ending to master chief.

Is is just me, or is the lock-on on the rocket-launcher gone?

Cause lock-on was fun.

Yes it was, it was moved to the missile pod...for balance.

But the missile pod is much more powerful, even without lock on.

So they give the lock-on to the most powerful weapon instead of the underdog(well, in explosive weaponry anyway)?

Yes it is, especially when you try and hit a banshee at full speed with it.

In many ways, the brute shot is more useful, the rockets are incredibly slow and the explosion would kill you if you were close enough for the enemy to not dodge.

It is useful as a bunker-clearer though.

Lol. I just remembered, me and my friend were playing and I fired a rocket at him, he had time to say "HOLY MOTHER OF JERUSILAM" before he had to move.

I <3 brute shot.
I used it for most of campaign, as lots of enemies had it so ammo wasn't hard to get.
And technically my friend did most of the work, we were doing co-op at his house >_>

Spartan Laser > Rocket Launcher/Missile Pod/Fuel Rod Cannon.

Missile pod is better IMO. But only in damage, when it comes into a real battle you can't run or dodge. And spartan laser is an anti-vehicle sniper-rifle and I don't snipe too well.

I like the fuel rod awfully lot, even though I haven't tested it in halo 3 yet. I'm getting the game (and my xbox) in a few weeks.

So, its:
Spartan Laser/Fuel Rod Cannon > Rocket Launcher > Missile Pod

but its not marathon(many ppl say the marathon series is supposed to take place After halo 4 setting)because bungie says they are 2 diffrent universes.
People Say you wont be master chief but i think this is false.
MC will land on what ever planet he is floating towars...
and God forbid theres flood or evil aliens on that planet.
he will survive for 3 games worth of playing the marines will rescue him then there ship will explode then they will crash on the planet and they cycle will repeat for 3 more games till M$ or bungie gets sued for sucking balls

Bungie doesnt even have to make a campaign mode.
they could just replace it with a terrian editor and put in 100 more varients of game play and 60thousand new maps and call it Halo Arena.

although spartan laser is fun and so is missle pod. but ive always hated the rockets.
