Re: The Ultimate Battle
Guys.
The obvious, logical answer is a bear with gorilla arms + hands.
Jesus that is nightmare fuel.

Re: The Ultimate Battle
I vote for the bear. Did everybody forget the bear has thick fur? Which protects it from the winter and gorilla punches? And even if the gorilla knew how to use a gun or even aim it correctly, bears still withstand bullets, depending on what kind. I really don't see how the gorilla can win, the bear is heavier, stronger, has sharp teeth with powerful jaws, and has sharp claws. The gorilla is just strong and has thumbs, with nothing protecting its skin either.
EDIT: btw, Kodiak bears and Polar bears are about the same size.

Re: The Ultimate Battle
Fur does nothing to deflect force. A bear can SURVIVE a bullet, but it would most definitely slow it down and weaken it.

Guys the gorilla isn't a super gorilla, he can't fire a gun.
Might throw a big rock or something though.

The bear is 900lbs. That's almost 1/4 of what the Gorilla can lift. That bear is ♥♥♥♥. Shard wrote: Well it's still something, i've never heard of a gorilla surviving a gunshot to the head. Can you find an example with a bear?

The Russians were scared of bears because their guns were almost useless against them.

I'm afraid of anything that lives in Australia, so why can't Brazilians do the same?

http://animals.howstuffworks.com/mammal ... -info2.htmhttp://www.covebear.com/BlackBearFoods.htmBears and Gorillas both are Omnivores, and neither of them eat all that much meat. Quote: You wouldn’t want to share a gorilla’s dinner. Unless, of course, you like the taste of baby insects called grubs. Gorillas also eat leaves, bark, shoots, stems, roots, flowers, and fruit. Some gorillas also eat adult insects, such as termites. Quote: In the southern states and other areas, American Black Bears eat many different types of foods that people also eat, including fruits such as blueberries, blackberries, apples, and peaches. Black bears also eat small animals, but they account for only about 10% of a bear's diet. http://at.yorku.ca/~elliott/home/chickbits/gorilla.htmlhttp://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_does ... bear_weighQuote: An adult male gorilla weighs about 300 to 500 pounds. Quote: adult males (black bear) typically weigh between 125 and 550 lb, It depends what season though. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 159AAroU0bhttp://www.polarbearsinternational.org/ ... ar-bear-iqQuote: There are at least three cases on record of gorillas learning sign language and communicating with humans. So I'd say they are very smart, at least as smart as a young child. They may not have philosophical-type thoughts or be able to write but they communicate clearly. Quote: Polar bears are just as smart as apes, according to research scientist Alison Ames. Their success at hunting seals may be a sign of their brain power. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Could_a_full_ ... 000_poundshttp://www.chacha.com/question/how-much ... ft-or-moveQuote: I have to ask what type of lift you are asking. Is this a deadlift, a military press, or a 1,000 lb "budge"? Two of the three should be possible for a gorilla. Depending on the rules, the human record deadlift is near/somewhat over 1,000 pounds. A gorilla is considerably stronger than a human, though experiences none of the conditioning of a weightlifter. A "budge" of the weight would be easy, i.e lift it at all. The human backlift record is over 2 tons. Quote: A brown bear can hook his long front claws under a slab of rock that 3 grown men can not lift & flip it over almost effortlessly. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 627AAyR8KhQuote: A bear, which can be twice a gorillas size. It would just claw the gorilla and a deadly bite. The gorilla how ever will put up a good fight. It won't be easy. If the gorilla does try and headlock the bear it risk a powerful bite from the Bears mouth. Remember that the bear has a short neck. The bear can also stand taller.
And to make this question easier you should say what type of bear.
If a polar bear or grizzly bear most definitely yes
If a small 200 pound black bear , not very likely
It also will depend if the gorilla is male or female, but if we are talking male animals, a 200 pound male black bear can not beat a 500 pound silver back male gorilla. How ever a 500 pound Silver back male gorilla can not defeat a Polar Bear or Grizzly. They are faster, it would claw the gorilla to death and a serious bite. How ever the gorilla can still do some damage. This would definitely how ever be a good fight. Source(s): Zoologist Gorillas can't use guns. Well placed bullet shots can kill any animal, unless they happen to be covered in a bullet-proof material. (i.e. not fur.)

Re: The Ultimate Battle
The reason the Russians weren't killing the bears was because they'd always shoot at the bears head, and the bears skull was thick enough to stop bullets.

Re: The Ultimate Battle
Bears have sloped skulls. Thus, if you hit it at the wrong angle, most anything will skip right off.
