You'll have to resize the C partition to give another partition of about 16Gig (MS's recommended size for the partition, I found you could probably get away with 12Gig). what the hell? GRUB boots off all HDDs and all partitions therein. i dont know what you were smoking when you wrote that, but ♥♥♥♥ is wrong. im booting loonix off of what is essentially my "D" drive, and XP off my "C" drive. sda1 and sda2 respectively (if my brain is in order). you should be able to install to a secondary drive fine, but you might need something like GRUB to make the choice, to avoid ♥♥♥♥ about in BIOS. CortexCommander wrote: Is it possible to use Windows 7 without having to burn it to a CD then install it? unless you want to do crazy ♥♥♥♥, i suggest you burn a disk. if you're asking questions like that, you wouldnt understand the steps you'd have to go to to NOT burn a disk. just burn one, they cost what, 3 cents a pop now? edit: see post above if you want to try it. ahahah, both of those came to my mind too. i especially love the ME joke. anyway, you shouldnt be able to sum up an OS in less than a line unless you are just using an opinion. saying "no better OS exists" about XP is just plain wrong. it depends what you want to use the system for. @exalion: have you actually used a mac for more than an hour? they are amazingly comfy. and if you have anything but some macbooks, they are upgradeable. =.=

Geti wrote: i dont know what you were smoking when you wrote that, but crap is wrong. Ok, amendment. You can only boot off your C drive unless you use a bootloader that looks about as hard to install as another OS and is probably out of your league if you're asking if you can boot off your D drive in the first place.

Re: Windows 7
Gotta say, I like it already after installing. Usually I've had to install most drivers manually, but now I was ready to use everything in about 30 minutes. I'll try some Crysis playing now, if dx10 works.

No bootloader, no nothing. I ran the installer from my copy of Windows on C:\, pointed it to my E:\ drive, and it installed. Yeah, really. If you don't have a clue, don't act like what you're saying is 100% true.
