hell yeah, metal slug is awesome... though I got the metal slug anthology for wii and the controls were crap and annoying, wasn't suited for the wiimote and wasn't suited for the analog stick on the gamecube >:( d-pad all the way... in the end I sold it because the controls were that frustrating.

Put-Put, SpyFox, and Freddy Fish. It doesn't matter how much you click, you won't win. I learned that the hard way.

I know this is a late quote for this post but...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED those games.
I played them all the time when I was a (young) kid. I think I still have Freddy Fish around here somewhere.

And I may have SpyFox in some dusty pile of dust and old dusty atoms. Haven't seen that game for ages, but loved it.

And I'm not sure about Putt-Putt, but I think I did.

*thinks* Oh yeah! I remember! The only part I remember is having to click on the wood to float across the river.

Man I have to find those games.

That was no Putt-putt. That was Pajama Sam. Pajama Sam and the Dark. Or something.

Oh my god... so many good games!!

But I remember with Putt-Putt you had to drive on a wooden log down a river of some kind. I remember it.

Dude... DUDE!

Look what I found! http://www.gamespot.com/news/6188321.html
SpyFox, Pajama Sam, and Freddy the Fish on Wii!

Edit: Humongous Entertainment website = http://www.backyardsports.com/adventure/games.php

Edit 2: *looks through old N64 games*

Glover - Creepy, but awesome
Earthworm Jim - Amazingly awesome, "Pork Boarding!" anyone?
Mario 64 - WinRar
Pokemon Stadium 1&2 - Awesome
Pokemon: Hey You Pikachu -Awesomeness even though he never listened to me D:
Pokemon Snap - Cool but same every time
Super Smash Bros. - Win
StarFox 64 - I always went through the waterfall, but I never beat the brain...
...my mind went black *actually looks through stack of games instead of mind*
Found some good ones.

Rampage: World Tour - Loved playing this with my brother
Toy Story 2 - One of my favorite game ever, and still is
Paper Mario - Newer, but still very fun
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Amazing game, one of the best
Legend of Zelda: Majora's - Sucked at it, creeped me out, never got far (I was 4)

ALL N64. Oh, and by the way. My N64 recently stopped working... of course. I did find an old Sega though! :D But no games... of course, once again.

Try emu- *KERBANNED*

Seriously though. Emulators are bad.

Erm..

Megaman Xtreme for the gameboy. Dunno if I mentioned that, but it was fun. VERY HARD FOR ME BECAUSE I SUCK AT MEGAMAN but fun.

Mine's glitched up though. I've got a glitch save that's on the final level on hard-mode. (which is why I haven't beaten it yet) and once I activated "awesome mode" where everything on the menu was black and white, everything in the background was black and white during the game, text was black so I couldn't read, Megaman was blue and other stuff.

Like auto-save points turned you black and red, the lava in flame stags level was flashing white mess and all projectiles put the game into slow-mo.

But it dissapeared after I turned off. Oh well.

How do you figure? Its not like anyone is going to actually go out and BUY an old SNES or N64 and some games. Seriously, who would do that? I mean, I wouldn't.

Vigilant 8: 2nd Assault.
The BEST drivin' and shootin' game ever.

And

Enhänder
The best side-scrooling, spaceship shooting game in the history. No comparation. For real. You can get a lot of weapons through the game, like cannon, missile launchers, the Riot eletrict cannon...hmm... That game was epic in PS1 flavor

Yes.

♥♥♥♥. YES.
I can't remember being obsessed about any game over a longer period than this old-timer, the only one up for competition would be Pokemon Stadium. Oh, the memories.

two words

Commander Keen

episode 4 mostly, but 5 and 6 later too.
if you haven't played it before, download it. It's a classic 2D adventure shooter, made by the same studio that brought you wolfenstein 3d, the first 3d shooter. It also features the dopefish, a videogame classic which appears in many other (older) games, including Max Payne 1. You know I could go on and on. Just download it.

The first lego game that I ever played. LEGO Creator. That game was awesome. It was almost like Garrysmod (Gmod) but it wasn't online and, well, it was legos. I still have it when I got it out of a ceral box. I remember when Ceral Boxes had games in them, so more people bought them...

Considering this is old-ish, and the PS1 was out in err... 97 or so... definitely.

Somebody mentioned Trespasser? Great, now I HAVE to re-install that game and play it! (I'm also tempted to start playing Descent again, but I'll have to get a new PSU for my legacy gaming PC.)

I could go on all day talking about the good times I had with Rocket Jockey, Magic Carpet 2, System Shock 2, and Deus Ex, but there is one particular game I'm kicking myself for not having played until 2006 or so (and that was a freeware open-source backport of a game that was originally released for IBM PCs in 1992 and a few years later for the 3DO): Star Control II: The Ur-Quan Masters. (Yeah, my avatar totally gave it away.)

Don't want to take my word for it on how awesome this game is? Watch some Let's Play videos of it in action.
