Re: MMO Discussion Thread (Currently: Granado Espada)
Might join up on this. Though the 3 gig file size is kind of turning me off. Also, we should play Tibia. Small, free, also hella hard. We'd have to form some sort of gang. I remember that it took me almost a week just to get off mandatory noobie isle. And I was poor. Freaking poor. D: (Though I did have some nice equipment from the secret dungeons there, such as a bronze shield, mace, plate armor, etc. Half the fun is finding and exploring these dungeons. I was never able to complete the "ultimate quest" of noobie isle, which netted some of the best weaponry in the area, and some decent starting equipment for mainland.) But it's one of the most unique games as far as world interactions go. ie: You can get a rope to ascend holes. You can pull chests and other crap around and form blockades to keep out monsters. Druids have shapeshifting. Most items don't heal you instantly, they heal over a period of time (with the exception of heal spells and potions). If you die, your body is left behind with most of your possessions. I don't know how it determines what you keep and what you drop, but you always drop your "container" (thing for carrying items, you get a bag (capacity to start, but can upgrade/find larger containers). The magic system is gay though. You have to go around shouting "ADAVRA KEDAVARA" or "UVITO LUX" to cast spells. And all the magic is really expensive. Or you could buy runes. Runes are for gay one time users that say "LOOKITME I CAN CAST MAGIC MISSILE ♥♥♥s. LOLOL. MELEE SKELETONS WITH YOUR +3 MACES, I'M GONNA GO SNIPE ME SOME OGRES." Also, some of the more useful spells, such as HEAL OTHERS, LEVITATE, MAGIC ROPE, GRAND EXPLOSION, etc., are limited to paying members. I still thought it was a load of fun though, hunting bears, skeletons and fleeing wasps on noob isle with some of my friends I got hooked onto it. The fun would be increased tenfold with a vent server and a huge DRLFF gang running through the PVP world and mugging random people with our huge mass. Shots: Pretty much sums up the entire game. Damn, she must have never seen pixel water before. Houses: Also members only. Though, if someone is willing, we can take over one of the many abandoned, un-purchasable houses for DRLFF's use. Some raid ♥♥♥ is likely to take our stuff though if we don't keep it protected. Tibia: Jungles n' crap yo. Obvious warning is obvious. That druid/mage is gonna get raped. http://www.tibia.comPM me if you're interested.

Leadpumper, that doesn't look like runescape at all. Jesus you know nothing of 2d topdown rpgs.
Also tibia's isometric graphics look all retarded.

Alenth Eneil wrote: Am I to take it that everyone left? That's what I want to know. All these people wanted to play, I have yet to have any of them actually contact me or anything. You're no fun to play with because you never talk or anything. And everyone else just kind of downloaded it and never got on or something. So if you're getting on, say it now, or we'll continue MMO discussion and remove GE as our current MMO.
