I would love to join this buuuuuuuuuut, between my short attention span, and how confusing this game seems like it may be, it just doesn't look like it's for me.

Neither of them really fit my usual style, but I'll go with GLA.
BECAUSE I HATE YOU RED.

...

No. Not really.
I'd just rather be the zerg than the protoss.

Trust me, Its not that complex...At all. The most complex part is the ship building, And thats basic pick and mix. Update in, Like, Five minutes.

Post Re: A Galaxy at War the Wargame [4 Slots Left]
[Update]
The game will be starting in a short few hours, So players should get ready.

A little info on the GSC:
As I helped in designing the GSC back in the days this game's forefather began, I thought I may as well shine some light on GSC Tech and Tatics. The GSC ships are very often based around their main weapon,
The MAC Cannon. Their main battle tactics are often based on this huge weapon, Which is VERY powerful. Unlike the other races, The GSC's MACs come in many different types. There are small ones mounted on smaller ships, Large ones for larger ships, Frigates often have two, But sacrifice hanger bays for smaller
ships for this. There are also Super MACs, Which are based in orbit of important planets. The GSC also use far less shields than the others, And rely more on thick, Strong armour. They also use lasers far, FAR less, And use Auto cannons for point defence and Anti-Fighter duty. The SC also use missiles in a more offensive way, Often firing them in time with the ships MAC Cannon. Last but not least, The GSC use, Develop, Build and maintain modern Nuclear weapons, Such as HAVOC and SHIVA nukes.

Quote from ship building guide (Fixed):
MACs (Magnetic Acceleration Cannons): These weapons which come in many shapes and sizes, fire heavy metal projectiles at near-light-speed, doing massive kinetic damage upon impact that can rival class 8 weaponry. Overconfident non-GSC commanders may disregard a MAC Cannon as a threat, until his ship looks like Swiss cheese, but experienced commanders treat them carefully. MACs are typically placed on ships, But Super MAC Cannons are sometimes placed on defence platforms due to their great range and accuracy. The GSC almost exclusively use MAC Cannons, And their tactics are often based on their usage.

To make things easier for Alpha, I have made a basic ship template (With descriptions).

Outline/Pic (A picture or outline of the ship):

Class (Frigate, Destroyer etc):
Name (The name of the ship. It's needed if the ship type is going to be made many times):
Description (The ship history, Age, Purpose etc):
-Captain
-Age
-History
-Purpose
-Etc

Crew (The people, Or aliens, Manning the craft):

Weapons (The weapons of the ship):
-Laser cannons
-Exotic Energy Weapons
-Projectile Weaponry

Shields The energy shields the ship uses for defence):

Armour (The solid armour used for defence):

Engines (The engines used to propel the ship):

Reactors (The power source of the ship):

I was feeling bored, So I made a ship design for the GSC.

Outline:
Image

Class: Battle Cruiser
Name: Two for Flinching
Description:
-Captain
Captain Patrick Murphy is Irish, And 34 Years old. A tactical genius he has risen through the ranks quickly. He joined the navy straight from school, And believes strongly in the GSC and what it stands for.
-Age
The ship is 6 Years old
-History
The TfF has served in multiple battles, And won most. It was involved in the GLA/GSC war a few years back, And has fought on many planet battles.
-Purpose
Like most GSC ships, The TfF was built around it powerful MAC Cannon. Its main job is leading smaller groups of Frigates and protecting large carriers and such. It is also often used as a planet-side infantry support craft.
Weapons:
MAC Cannon
1 Mark Three MAC Cannon

-Laser cannons
10 Class 3 Laser cannons
30 Class 2 Auto cannons
50 Class 1 Auto cannons

-Missiles
70 Archer Missiles

Nukes
2 Class 5 HAVOC Nukes

Shields:
N/A

Armour:
150 Inches of reinforced Duranium Alloy with 90 Inches of Carbonium (The Carbonium is placed in ten inche sections every 20 inches or Duranium Alloy)

Engines:
2 Matter ionization Impule Engines
1 Shaw-Fujikawa Slipspace Drive

Reactors:
1 Nuclear fusion
2 Nuclear Fission (One as backup)
[Tyberium Focusing Crystal]

Good god...That took me WAY over an hour...

What? I used a small number of basic Halo ideas. But then again, It hard not too. These days Sci-Fi has merged into one big melting pot. And, To be blunt, This game "Borrows" ideas from Warhammer 40K, And many other Sfi-Fi shows/Games/Movies etc...
