Programming assignment: Draw something using the polygon function. I'd better get an A on this. Edit: Made of 55 Polygons with a total of 612 points.

I'll probably start saving photos to raw from now on. Well, they let you tweak image settings in a non-destructive way. Pre-tweak for comparison: http://i44.tinypic.com/350jds7.jpg

Some pirate guy with a rocket tube or something. Just trying out some different coloring/shading (?) styles from what I normally do after reading the last Agent Black comic. His right leg was supposed to be up on something, but I sort of forgot that 'til I was nearly finished already. Buh.

Re: Art Dump
I guess it fits the comic-like style but as a rule of thumb you should avoid using pure black for shadows as it looks unnatural. But yeah, the legs are a tad confusing, cool perspective though. Here's some stuff for looking at The colors on the last one are garbage because I can't color from greyscale in Gimp.

Re: Art Dump
Been working on this lately: Loosely(very important word) based on the Rolls Royce Merlin engine. Major differences include the use of carburetors and triple manifolds(something that I've never seen before and probably won't work IRL.) The darkness is caused by cloning a default texture, making it easier to keep clones apart and stuff. It's modeled by me, which means there is some sick detail in some spots and a lack of it in others. For instance: The manifolds are actually hollow as well as the tubes that connect them to everything.(including those going to the carbs.) However, there are no piston, even though the cylinders are hollow. Eventually I will make something that will look a bit like: this

Re: Art Dump
I love really detailed 3D like that. I saw an animation on a science forum I attended from a bunch of engineered of all the CAD components of an engine getting put together in digital space, then being fired virtually using simulated impulses on the pistons. Was hardcore as. Quick study. Still not happy with the eyes. This drawing on the screen thing will take some time to get used to.

Fancy materials are fancy: Screwed around with the exhausts a bit but that's it model wise.
