EA has the "Screw the userbase over" part down, but Nexon is FAMOUS for awful customer support.
I'm sure if they put their minds to it, they could ♥♥♥♥ us over as royally as physically possible.

I don't foresee EA doing it, at least not a full takeover. A merger, maybe. It's about as likely as Valve spending all of Gabe's money on buying other publishers and developers...

Speaking of gamedev news, I assume you've all heard that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is now cancelled? GSC have dissolved, most of their staff have regrouped as Vostok Games, and Vostok are now working on an F2P MMOFPS set in a similar overall setting - but imagine the Zone has taken over the entire planet.

Yeah, I don't mind the concept of an MMOFPS as long as it isn't executed in the classic, WoW like way with stupid fetch quests and what not, but rather like a co-op Stalker game (although I can't really see where the MMO comes into that yet). I mostly just hope they will stick to an Eastern-European setting, because that is just unbeatable in post-apoc settings for me and they've done it so well in the previous Stalker games.

Nexon buying EA would be an improvement.

D'you know of Planetside? If not, look it up. Planetside 2 is also coming out soon if I recall correctly.
