I just realised
All the money game shows give away is really just a waste. It may be entertaining, and winning 1 million dollars would sure as hell make my day. But that doesn't stop the fact that this money could be used to instead give to charity, recover our huge debt, go into research, create towns..
Really, there's a thousand different things this money could go for that is a lot more productive for our society, yet we just throw it around like a bouncy ball despite the hole we dug ourselves into with debt.

You need to realize two things. A) That is a private company doing what they want with their money. If you're somehow suggesting that they just go "♥♥♥♥ profits, let's give this to AMERICA", you are silly. B) Also, if you're talking about national debt, every game show ever made giving every dime of their prizes towards getting rid of it, they would probably kick out about...0.01%? Maybe a smidge more. 14 trillion dollars is a massive amount of money. A few game shows giving away a million dollars towards someone who earned it (arguably) isn't going to make a difference either way.

I know, but I'm just saying. I don't really like game shows anyway, and I don't see the point. I just figure the money could be used for something more useful than entertainment.

Maybe give it to some random stranger that needs it enough that said person would participate in a gameshow?

I'm okay with the PS3. I personally want a PSP a lot more than I like the PS3 (Mostly because I only have Soul Caliber IV and don't even play it.), but the PS3's good... For movies and stuff. That's basically the only thing we (my family) use ours for. On some very rare occasions, we do other things. Like play Soul Caliber Four. Or maybe watching documentaries. Or... I don't know. Maybe (NEVER) I'll use it to watch anime sometime? Maybe sometime when I'm a LOT, LOT older than I currently am. Maybe 100 years older. PSP = The best RPGs of all time... I don't get to play them, though. :'(

@LizardHeim: About your post with the image of a keyboard with the enter and delete keys circled... Yup. That is true. I don't tend to use them a lot, though. I laughed a lot after reading that post. Those are the two keys I should probably use a bit more.

@Sothe: Did I spell your username correctly? Well, anyways, who on earth is that? I haven't actually gotten that far into Yu-Yu Hakusho, so I don't know him. I only got up to near the third qurter of the dark tournament thing. I think. The ones I was thinking of were Haruhi (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) and If you want to read Enigma, then skip the part I just typed back there... Unless you want a semi-spoiler. Also, I'm talking about the manga EnigmA, in case there are other things called Enigma.

Oh, yeah. Let's see... Oh! I know! If you were going to choose the name for a character in an RPG, what would you name it? Specify whether it's a boy or a girl. If the name's already taken, you can't use it. You can do up to two. One boy and one girl. If you don't want to participate, I don't really think anyone will care. I just want to see people's naming senses. I'll do a female one first. Maina. Reasoning: Most other names that I think of are either ones that sound really horrible or they're taken. Sakura gets snapped up pretty quickly. I also realized recently that it also sounds like "mana," so I use it for my female mages. Go long monologues! After the Dark Tournament saga, there's a short period where Genkai gets her three new psychics to stage a kidnapping, and they all go to an abandoned house to face them. One of them reads minds, one of them can make their own small universe like I said before, and one of them can transform into other people.

It was pretty cool. Yu created a few different weird games, and if someone loses, they get sealed into a crystal ball.
Kurama beat him, though.

I've got a Xbox 360, a PS3 and a Wii, and a fairly capable computer. That way I can buy whatever game I think looks fun.
