you see, what will happen is, there will be one guy who starts it off somehow (ingesting radioactive shoes, i dunno) and then he'll turn into a zombie. maybe a small handful of people will be infected, but then the military comes in, cleans it up, and we all forget it ever happened.
it takes time to infect a lot of people, the military could very easily take out a small number of zombies in a matter of seconds.

so don't get your hopes up on the apocalypse, broseph.

Depends on infectiousness and incubation period. It may resort to quarantining areas, or just individuals.
