Yeah, I prefer my desktop minimalistic. Useing rocketdock for most used program icons (remove all icons from desktop, ugh so much clutter!) or equivalent and setting the taskbar to auto-hide. Now choose a classy background and done!

I have 12 gigs but I like to know just how much I have in excess of what I'm using.

SimpleSentenceThree has its own GUI for changing the elements. It's easy to use and I like the general idea of being less lonely
