Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
What's so notable about that MG? It's kind of weird to put a rifle scope on one, but isn't absolutely wacky in any way.

Re: Image Dump (Caution Lots of Images)
If you can't tell by the length of the scope, it probably offers some incredibly high level of magnification that you would normally only see on a sniper rifle. The 1919 actually has quite a formidable range, but it's not that accurate. The scope is beyond useless.

Yeah, I'd think it shakes quite a bit when firing, though I think it has some sort of recoil dampener so it shouldn't be that bad. Apparantly Carlos Hathcock used it to shoot a VC at over 2km. :o http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Hathcock#LegacyThe scope looks like an Unertl 8x.

Miggles wrote: What's so notable about that MG? That is how anti-materiel rifles like the Barrett M82 and its kin got started. You wouldn't hold the trigger down, just one shot at a time. Didn't have the time and facilities to make a rifle for it on the frontline, too much expense to justify shipping one out from home... so you improvise.
