Re: Reds at the Gate [Be part of a novel, 1 SPOT LEFT!]
Very well done, definetly in. Postitons for squad members in now closed, however; I still have many needs for minor characters, Commanders, pilots, medics, all sorts of people.

Alenth Eneil wrote: Tell me how this is not a game... Well its just like my old fanfic except not a fanfic and completly unrelated to my old story. Its a peice of literature not a game. @Father Venn, dont worry there will be a few major characters needed later I will be asking for applications later as I don't want to give too much away.

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
People make characters, then have no say where the story goes but are included for the trip .

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
@Aleneth: So that people could get involved in the story and say that that person was based off his/her idea, it also saves me the trouble of coming up with major characters myself (which is a laborious task).

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
...
So we have an author who can't come up with his own characters. Who is also obsessed with the word fanfic and refuses to stop using it.

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
Whatever, people seem to like it and my writing, so a few people who dislike it dont bother me. And what do you mean by another? And I'll stop using fanfic then; "fan fiction" is that better?

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
It would be, if this was even a ♥♥♥♥ fanfic. That word has no place being used in relation to this topic. It's getting stupid reading you spam "fanfic" all over a thread that has nothing to do with CC.
Do you know the difference between author and another? They look different and mean different things.

Oops misread it, sorry about that . I also have accept that its not CC fiction, whereas you seem to keep bringing it up, I'm merly saying the concept is similar to my old story but not related to CC at all.

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
Hello everyone! Alpha sent me a PM saying that place would always be open for me here so....Here is my guy!
Real: First Lieutenant Patrick O'Hara. Name: Orindell Skill: Demo/Leader Weapon: Custom M4 Assault rifle with sight, Grenade Launcher and Laser Sight. (Can also fire explosive bullets) Desert Eagle with Laser sight, Combat Knife and 5 Frag Grenades, 3 EMP Grenades and 3 Bits of C4. Personality: A good friend of Alphas, Has had a thing about blowing things up since childhood, From Ireland, Has not risen above the rank of First Lieutenant because he has no respect for any officers except Alpha (Thinks they are all stuck up). Always sticks up for the underdog. Its hard to make friends with him but when you do he is very loyal and will but his life on the line for you. Is slow to anger but when angry often gets VERY angry.

That is why you are a supporting character, Orindell. The commander of a platoon of infantry that we meet up with. I also have the first Chapter done, posting in a new topic now.

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
It would seem that you took out those soldiers too easily, but I liked how the realistic pause and the split second reaction between you and the soldiers. I was disappointed to find out that they were "under prepared" and the "UN soldiers have nightvision", seems like the Reds are under prepared and the UN people are MUCH better. You've held my attention so far, and I'm liking it so far.
P.S. I also thought that you should have coughed up blood removing that shrapnel from your chest...... That was a bit unrealistic (lose interest -1)

Re: Reds at the Gate [Supporting characters needed!]
Well the shrapnel was blocked by the armor and didn't even make it into my chest, I should have voiced that better. Also I thought that the solders were a little too easy, I'll balance hem out next time, thanks for the critizim . However in your talk of the UN having night vision, Im takig this into prespectve of modern solders, America spends a decent ammout of money on each troop, most Europen countries spend almost twice as much on every man, but the other contries like China spend far less on each man (the average Chinese infntry man uses a bolt-action rife), I was just translatig that to the future. The UN has a more elite, well-equipped army, where as the Reds have less tech and firepower per man but have overwhelming numbers (something I will express later). Not to say the Reds wont have good tan- umm...I said too much.
