(my personal favorite is putting ranch dressing on my sandwiches) I think most mayos are bland impersonators of MiracleWhip fame (though the facts are obviously against me). I get ranch+buffalo sauce on my chicken sandwiches at subway, great combo

I'm an idiot. I've been thinking of cool whip this whole time. No, miracle whip tastes awful on pies and fruit salad.

Re: Miracle Whip
Wow, Miracle Whip sucks. I think it tastes good in like one thing, but don't ask me what. Mayo I only use on burgers and brats. I eat my food plain most of the time, no ketchup and no mustard (unless if it's Grey Poupon or something awesome). It's quite surprising to see how many people here haven't had Miracle Whip, I always thought people bought it because they think mayo is evil or something. Plus I always think of buying Miracle Whip is like shopping at Wal-Mart.

Re: Miracle Whip
I only use mayo on ham sandwiches and burgers. Goes well with mustard.
Maybe I'll try Miracle Whip on it, I 'unno.

Re: Miracle Whip
Miracle Whip and mayonaise both make me gag.
I don't understand the allure, they both seem virtually tasteless and have the consistency of something with odd consistency.

Re: Miracle Whip
I agree that mayo is weird by itself. If that wasn't what you meant, then to me its really just another sauce, it tastes pretty good. I have two brothers and one thinks potatoes are gross and tasteless and another that thinks shrimp is gross and tasteless. I think it all has to do with preference, or maybe from the first time you had the food. Maybe it was bad the first time and now every time you have that food it tastes that way to you, no matter the quality or application.

Re: Miracle Whip
Not really. I just dislike the flavor and moist creaminess. I gag whenever I taste it.

Re: Miracle Whip
What's this about a miraculous device to agitate horses and cattle? I'd prefer soy sauce. Maybe not on sandwiches though... I usually don't use any kind of creamy stuff in a 'meal' sandwich (the one with veggies, cheese and meat stuff in it) but I'll probably get me some choco spread in my 'snack' sandwich.

And quite honestly I have never thought of Gatorade like that and will never see it the same way again. Edit: Anyone like: Cheese + Pickles + (really really hot)Salsa Sandwich? OR Ramen Sandwich (take the instant ramen make it up and then drink the broth (don't eat the noodles) then take noodles and jam them inbetween 2 pieces of bread. Ta-Da instant Ramen Sandwich sometimes needs soy sauce or shreaded cheese)

Oh don't get me wrong- soy sauce on rice, or used as a marinade or in stir fry, etc, is awesome.
soy sauce on a sandwich? really? doesn't the bread just get all soggy?

Re: Miracle Whip
I never use to like mayo but one time I had it in a sammich with arugula and fancy meat and I went crazy.
Ramen and cheese in bread sounds really nice, I'm going to have to try that.
Actually wasabi is surprisingly good in sammiches. Blends with mayo really nicely.

soy sauce on a sandwich? really? doesn't the bread just get all soggy? Just dip the non bread solids into the soysauce and then apply on the sandwich. For liquid non bread condiments, mix with the soy sauce.

Also, for those wondering why a lot of people haven't heard of Miracle Whip we don't have it in countries that aren't America, so those that don't have American friends and/or haven't been to America will have never encountered it. We don't have Wal-Mart either.
