I have a first generation Xbox.. only had 1 red ring, and the only other thing that doesn't work is the CD tray. Takes a little bit of coaxing but I can usually get it open with a flathead.

Re: The New Xbox Experience.
Yeah, I've never had a red ring. Ever. My first 360 did, the AV burnt out, so I got it replaced with the one I still have. I've been told that my disk drive no longer works, and that warranty doesn't cover, so I'll have to pay $120 or something for it. Hopefully the email I sent to customer support will tell me what to do about it, but if it's something like "Get it repaired, mother ♥♥♥♥." then Imma get agnry and make them pay for it, since it was THEIR faulty system that caused it.

I have a two year old Xbox that's had issues with overheating but never a true RRoD. NXE runs fine.
Netflix is not free; you have to be a member, but it allows you to directly stream anything on their online queue to your TV in a way that's faster than hooking up a laptop to a TV.

I really don't get why they even made us update. I was perfectly fine with the blades. Downloading full games on to your HD is pointless. Unless you could play without a disk. You can't even notice the speed change unless you have a stopwatch.

Re: The New Xbox Experience.
For me, the update is amazing. The menu is way faster than it was before. You can actually look at something in between spawn times. Party mode is great. Almost worth the whole update just for that. Don't have Netflix, but you can bet I'd be using it if I did.

I'm not exactly sure how you two are doin' it wrong but you definitely are.
The only noteworthy issues I can find are some random connection issues with parties, a bit of lag in the dashboard friends list, and the themes.

The 'avatar' things are pretty ♥♥♥♥. I could at least make Admiral Ackbar with the Mii's.
