Check what kind of rounds are in the pistol, obviously the sniper rifle has explosive rounds because thay popped the guy's head.

Re: Battle Of The Factions First, find out what those weird repeating symbols on the wall are.  Then shoot the lone soldier, talk to General/Captain whositsname, and find out where the hell we are.
