Othello sounds like one BAMF name. I don't care who he was, the name itself sounds awesome.

I hadn't even HEARD of most of those. The only one I had believed was the the about poppy seeds causing false positives, and only because of mythbusters.

I had thought most of the stuff about marijuana being dangerous was true. Really surprised by how much I was taught in school about it wasn't just spin and exaggeration, but outright lies.

Yes, I should have probably touched more on DARE misinformation campaigns in America and the equivelant programs for other countries in the OP. I've been telling you guys, they're straight up lying to you. ♥♥♥♥' Anslinger, bein' a ♥♥♥♥♥.

Which countries in particular? I don't remember being taught about drugs over this side of the world.

Mostly focus on the Americas, but maybe some European countries, and definitely Britain.

Protip: If you do either of those things you'll just get removed. Who is anyone going to believe, you or people that supposedly know the facts and have been in their job for many years? The way to win the battle is to protest peacefully and control your rhetoric carefully so as to persuade as many people in high places as possible. Or become one of those highly placed people.

Of course I wouldn't just burst in there with guns loaded to the barrel with words and anti-lies (anti-lies is now a word). I would wait until something totally ridiculous is said and then I would proceed make a polite and educated comment on said incorrect statement.

That would be better, though be prepared to simply be denied and possibly have another lie about how your statement is wrong shoved down your throat. At that point you could either persist and have your argument torn to shreds as they have trained to shoot down arguments by knowledgeable teenagers, or desist and save yourself the effort.

That's why he also has references to studies and trials to counter-shove down their throats.

Which I do have and know of, so, I'd like to see them come back from those.
I have talks like this happens with friends all the time. They say something wrong about it, I correct them, they throw in something else they've been 'taught' about it and how the government has 'proved it's bad' and all that, and then I inform them about some real studies, along with the real results and the horrid conditions of government tests.
